Complete traceability: From Farm to Export
Farm-Raised
In our shrimp farms, we receive larvae from specialized hatcheries and grow them under carefully controlled conditions until they reach their optimal size. Once ready, they are harvested and transported to our processing plant.
Reception at the processing plant
Upon arrival, the shrimp is tested in our laboratory to verify its sensory, physical, and chemical conditions. We also monitor temperature to ensure cold chain continuity and compliance with the highest quality standards.
Inspection and Grading
After the initial evaluation upon arrival, the shrimp enters the processing plant via conveyor belts for a visual inspection. It is then graded by size using precision equipment and directed to freezing according to the customer’s specifications.
Freezing
Our plant uses advanced freezing technologies to preserve the shrimp’s freshness, texture, and premium quality.
Packaging and Labeling
At Expalsa, we select packaging that meets customer specifications, prioritizing logistical efficiency, sustainability, and resource optimization. Additionally, we ensure that labels comply with the regulations of the target market.
Storage and Shipping
The shrimp is stored in refrigerated chambers with real-time online temperature monitoring to ensure the cold chain. Each shipment is inspected by an external company, guaranteeing the safety, quality, and authenticity of the product.
Applied technology
We have high-efficiency machinery that preserves the freshness of the shrimp by reducing the time between harvest and freezing.
We have cutting-edge hardware and software technology that allows us to monitor production processes online and ensure traceability throughout the entire production chain.
